You can always tell a review that’s written per the request of the person under evaluation. It’s tough to tell what’s what but this review is based off a client of Anthony who waited a solid 6 months after closing to write a note.
I met Anthony through a softball league and was always impressed by his attentiveness and depth of knowledge in his field. We started out buddies through sports, but I ended up asking him to help my fiance and I find our first home, despite the fact that there were 2 other real estate agents on our team!
I’m also a very cautious consumer, and do my due diligence and homework before I move forward with any purchase. I realize that I don’t have a whole lot of experience with home buying, but when you compare Anthony’s depth of knowledge to EVERYONE ELSE’S during this process, the advantage goes to Anthony, hands down. He specializes in Oakland, Berkeley and SF, but even though our home purchase was in Richmond (different county), he knew more about city regulations and (most importantly) buyers rights than the seller’s agent.
Anthony helped me buy a duplex in Richmond where the sellers asked for a 60 day lease back. All of this was around Christmas time. Upon close, Anthony said “It’s not over yet! The fun part is just beginning!” He was talking about the investment we just purchased and how we’re going to realize the best return on our investment. Not because he felt obligated to, but because that’s what he loves to do.
Sure enough, about 2 weeks prior to the end of the 60 day lease back from the sellers, Anthony was in touch with us to make sure the move in went smooth. We even had an issue with the sewer which he got resolved without our efforts.
Did I mention he got the seller to come down $25K from our initial offer?

Anthony was recommended to me and my wife by a friend, and we couldn’t feel luckier. We needed a bigger place, and were on the fence about buying versus renting. Anthony showed us what was out there to buy and gave us an honest assessment of the market. He gave us a lot of attention, and treated us like we were one of his only clients, even though he clearly has a booming business with many other people to serve.
We were very fortunate and found a place we loved in our first weekend looking. When we knew we wanted to bid on the place, Anthony’s skills became very apparent. He knew just how to write an offer, not only suggesting a competitive dollar amount, but also with little tricks to make our offer rise to the top (you have to standout somehow when 150 people show up to the open house and 7 people put in preemptive offers). He worked the listing agent pretty much non-stop throughout the bidding process to ensure that we were chosen.
Once we went under contract, we rode the closing express train and completed the entire process in 18 days. It was so smooth that the deal actually closed while my wife and I were on vacation in Hawaii (planned before we knew we were buying a place). From starting to look to completing the transaction, the total time was less than 4 weeks! We move in next week, and we are just ecstatic about our new place and the ease of our purchase process.
If you want to buy in this incredibly tight market, I cannot recommend Anthony more highly. He will get your foot in the door (literally) when others cannot.
